About Moneyline Bet Hub
I spent eight years on the trading floor of a licensed sportsbook before I started writing about betting. I priced moneyline markets, watched how lines moved under sharp action, and saw every trick the vig math can play on bettors who don't check the numbers. This site is what I wish had existed when I was learning the job.
What is Moneyline Bet Hub?
Moneyline Bet Hub — Everything About Moneyline Odds is a reference site built around one bet type: the moneyline. No spreads, no props, no casino noise. Just the numbers behind picking a winner and getting paid correctly.
Every page starts with a direct answer, works through the math with real dollar amounts, and flags the spots where bettors lose money without realizing it — heavy favorites, high vig, rollover traps on bonuses.
Who writes here?
My name is Brett Holloway. I am not affiliated with any sportsbook. I don't run referral deals that steer you toward operators with worse odds. When I cover licensed sportsbooks for moneyline betting or dig into welcome bonus fine print, I say what the terms actually mean.
How I use the research
Every fact, odds example, and legal status on this site traces back to a named source — regulators, operator terms, or established sports-betting publications. If I can't source it, I leave it out. Sports betting is legal in 30+ states as of early 2024; where you can legally place a moneyline bet right now depends entirely on your physical location when you open the app.
I also cover the math that most sites skip: converting moneyline odds to implied win probabilities, the vig the sportsbook keeps on every bet, and the break-even math on heavy favorites like -300. Numbers don't lie; the framing around them sometimes does.
A note on responsible gambling
Must be 21+ to bet in most states (18+ in select states). Gambling problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER.
